Frequently Asked Question

Insured (Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurances requiring a referral) patients should have their Primary Care Physician (medical doctor) fax a referral with Demographic information, Insurance, and treatment history to (864) 699-1999. 

Self-pay patients and commercially insured patients not requiring a referral to see a specialist should call our referral coordinator at (864) 577-9107and schedule an appointment.

We accept most commercial insurances as well as Medicare and Medicaid Plans.

  • New patient (Adult) intake (medication management) appointments are 40 to 60 minutes.
  • Follow – up (Adult) appointments (medication management) are 20-30 minutes.
  • EEG (electroencephalogram) appointment is 30 minutes.
  • EMG/ NCV appointment last 30 minutes.

Your first appointment at Carolina Neurology will include a comprehensive evaluation by a Neurologist. We’ll discuss your symptoms, history, and goals to craft a personalized care plan. Ongoing appointments focus on tracking progress, adjusting medications if needed, and providing supportive therapies.
